Cyprinus Carpio - a magnum opus, as you keep taking it to another level.

I appreciate your comment in the first paragraph of your conclusion.

We have an immunologist (see <hervk102.substack.com>) who has spent her career studying one particular flavour of macrophage.

There may be some integration of your science with her findings which would explain some of the immunological observations.

I always think first of an energetic mechanism in your earlier examples- a nibbling lion may just represent a cell with insufficient energy to ingest the entire particle.

Thank you for your expertise and explanations- I particularly like the 5-year old model!

I've had a look at Dr Laderoute's Substack. We know about HERVs, but the positive symbiosis (?) with HERV-K102 is interesting. I need to read more into this.

Thank you. The more you learn about immune mechanisms the more you appreciate what a brilliant, balanced, finely tuned machine it is. One thats designed to react not to every antigen all the time, but in an intelligent, stepwise fashion to conserve resources and avoid autoimmunity, whilst being ready - primed - to react en masse but only when needed.

And we go crashing into this system with spike protein or cancer therapeutics, not respecting this finesse, and wondering why they don't work and lead to class switching, exhaustion and autoimmune disorders.
