This is an absolutely incredible interview between

and Prof Angus Dalgleish, an oncologist with more than 500 papers.

One of the rare doctors with molecular biology experience.

He explains how the UK government has silenced him.

Cyprinus carpio, not very good but excellent and nothing short of awesome.

two plus hours later, okay, gotcha, DoorlessCarp. Nice job again. I understand more than the 5 y/o version now.

Ancillary health professional factoid - this bit about thymus gland atrophy as being "normal" is not factually true: "An extension of the lymphatic system the thymus gland is located in the chest behind the sternum. It is most active leading up to puberty and slowly atrophies to be replaced by fatty tissue throughout life."

Current US medical system is behind the times on zinc and thymus gland health in the elderly. Japan has revised guidelines I think, or at least a recommendation for ~ double the zinc intake for people over ~ 65. Current recommendation for any age adult is ~ 18 mg I think. Increasing zinc intake can preserve or restore thymus gland function in the elderly. Without it there is little point in giving them a vaccine as the thymus gland is involved in B cells and antibody production.

~~

Excerpt from my unpublished pomegranate paper:

Senior citizens may need twice as much zinc for thymus function as younger adults, yet the official recommendations do not reflect that. Lack of zinc and reduced or lack of thymus function is common among the elderly and higher dose supplementation can help (~50 mg/day). (Kodama, et al, 2020) Extra zinc supplementation has been found to improve age related loss of thymus gland function in animal-based research. (Haase, Rink, 2009) Zinc supplementation may help increase T-cell type of immune reaction and reduce NF-kappa B inflammatory activity. (McCarty et al, 2021)

>>So adequate zinc and iodine and selenium supplementation is likely to be protective against the cancer epidemic that is on the way or already here. I had my 1/2 teaspoon of pomegranate inner pith this morning too. And some Turkey rhubarb root powder - kind of yummy bitter accent. Rheum palmatum - it is vascular protection, link below.

Additionally - yes, I have always, or for a long time known that cancer is something we fight preventively all of our life -- until we aren't and that is why kids or older people can get cancer. My sister died of leukemia at age 13 when I was only 4 so I was interested in what 'cancer' is from a fairly young age.

"Rheum palmatum plays the roles of anticoagulation and antithrombosis agent and improves microcirculation through lowering the endotoxin-induced permeability of microvascular tissue, reducing tissue edema, decreasing inflammatory exudation and necrosis, and enhancing cytoprotection mechanism." https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/agricultural-and-biological-sciences/rheum-palmatum

Turkey Rhubarb Root Powder is a Traditional Chinese Medicinal. Looks like it is good for my vascular health. A four ounce package has lasted me a while. It is strong and I only use about 1/4 teaspoon per bowl of soup/rice. https://mountainroseherbs.com/turkey-rhubarb >> $12.25 for 4 oz pkg

You note the harm to the immune system from the flu shot, so of course they now are advertising that combo flu + covid shot.

Looking at the 2 charts got me to thinking, can one factor in the rise in Non-Hodgkin lymphoma be the increase in the flu vaccine uptake? Just spitballing. I know you just did an incredibly comprehensive article on the flu jab, but Iā€™m already thinking the main harm in them might even be that people are encouraged to get it yearly.

Inhibition of fatty acid oxidation enables heart regeneration in adult mice

Abstract

Postnatal maturation of cardiomyocytes is characterized by a metabolic switch from glycolysis to fatty acid oxidation, chromatin reconfiguration and exit from the cell cycle, instating a barrier for adult heart regeneration1,2. Here, to explore whether metabolic reprogramming can overcome this barrier and enable heart regeneration, we abrogate fatty acid oxidation in cardiomyocytes by inactivation of Cpt1b. We find that disablement of fatty acid oxidation in cardiomyocytes improves resistance to hypoxia and stimulates cardiomyocyte proliferation, allowing heart regeneration after ischaemiaā€“reperfusion injury. Metabolic studies reveal profound changes in energy metabolism and accumulation of Ī±-ketoglutarate in Cpt1b-mutant cardiomyocytes, leading to activation of the Ī±-ketoglutarate-dependent lysine demethylase KDM5 (ref.ā€‰3). Activated KDM5 demethylates broad H3K4me3 domains in genes that drive cardiomyocyte maturation, lowering their transcription levels and shifting cardiomyocytes into a less mature state, thereby promoting proliferation. We conclude that metabolic maturation shapes the epigenetic landscape of cardiomyocytes, creating a roadblock for further cell divisions. Reversal of this process allows repair of damaged hearts.
